USING TRACK PRESETS IN PRO TOOLS
One for the Pro Tools users!
Track Presets is a great way to save time and speed up your workflow.
You can use them to save a chain of plugins on a channel; especially good if you’ve managed to put together something that’s particularly impressive and want to use later. But it saves more than just the plugin chain, it will take into account your Sends, automation state, track colour/type, even save the content (audio) itself, and loads more.
I often use this feature when I’m working on multiple songs by the same artist. It allows me to bring in the same bass guitar sound, for example, from the previous song, allowing me to keep things consistent from song to song. However, things can start to get a little messy when you’re working with lots of different clients or, simply, if you’re working on your own songs and want to have different folders for each song etc. In this video, I’ll show you how to do all of this. So, if you’re a Pro Tools user and not using Track Presets yet, then this one is for you! Stay creative.
