LOGIC: Organising and Customising Your Plugin Folder

James Arter

Hello!

The problem with plugin folders in Logic is that it nicely categorises all of the stock plugins into different sections - EQ, Compression, Reverbs etc - but doesn’t include any Audio Unit plugins in that list. It forces you to scroll down to the Audio Units section and sift through copious amounts of plugins all separated out according to manufacturer.

Well, you CAN put AU plugins into those categories. You can also create new folders that live in that top section. You can call them anything you like; for example, I’ve created a ‘Favourites’ folder for my most-used plugins and then also a few manufacturer folders just showing the main ones I use.

If that’s something you might like to do as well, then this short video is for you!

Hope it helps!

Stay creative.

James
