How To Change the TEMPO of AUDIO in Logic
It’s easy to change the tempo of MIDI but not quite as easy with audio, if it’s already recorded.
All you need to do is enable FLEX TIME on all of the Audio tracks.
Pick which algorithm suits the audio best and wait for it to analyse the regions - the more you have, the longer it'll take.
Which one to choose?
Pick AUTO if you're not sure as most of the time that does a great job.
Slicing - drums and percussive sounds
Monophonic - anything that has a singular tone, like vocals, bass guitar, trumpet etc
Polyphonic - anything with multiple tones playing at once, like guitar (chords), piano etc
Once Flex Time is active on all the audio tracks, you can adjust the tempo and the audio will follow.
It's worth noting, however, that although Logic does a great job, if you're adjusting the tempo too far, it might not sound good. A few BPM will generally be fine but making a jump of 10-20BPM might often be too much and will especially be noticed on vocals.
